What a fantastic weekend. The sun shone and the wind blew, providing perfect conditions for the RS Vareo Open. Over two days, the fleet enjoyed some very close racing. Competitors were from UYC and Bassentghwaite Sailing Club. The event was won by Mike Cowan from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club; the series was only decided on the last mark of the last race, with Andrew Cutting of UYC coming a very close second. This seemed the format of the whole weekend - close racing between Cowan and Cutting. Hugh Godfrey from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club came third.
