Pre-Nationals Coaching - give yourself the best chance!
Alain Sign, the chap who came 2nd at last years Nationals after only
spending 1 hour in the boat is providing coaching on Thursday 17th at
Lee on Solent.
It's being organised on the cheap, Junior is borrowing a rib etc. The cost
will not exceed £20. Start time will be 10:00 am Thurs morning and
will last most of the day.
Alain is a very talented young sailor who is currently campaigning a
49er in the British Squad and is competing for a spot at Weymouth in
2012. He came 2nd last year by one point after only sailing a Vareo
once before. He kept many of us entertained last year between races
and enjoyed the event so much is competing again this year. I learnt a
lot from him last year just by asking what he was thinking 10 mins
before each start.
Topics covered are determined by those taking part. Alain needs time
to prepare his content so when you book please give some thought to
what you would like to improve. Common topics covered are: Starting,
Boat Set up, Boat Handling and Strategy.
