RS Vareo winner of the Master Trophy at the 2015 Nationals Paul North is going to be interviewed tomorrow Wed 22 July on BBC Three Counties Radio Station on the Nick Coffer lunchtime show.
Paul's success story was in the Milton Keynes newspaper Thurs 16 July 15. The text reads as follows:
A Milton Keynes businessman has won a national sailing trophy.
Illuminis technical director Paul North, was in overall lead after the first two races on the opening day of the RS Vareo National Championships 2015 in North Wales last week. He slipped back to fourth place following the second day. on the third day, disaster struck when the mast of Paul's RS Vareo broke in heavy waves on the way to the start line. Fished out of the sea by the rescue boat, Paul spent the first race assisting the other sailors, before racing was abandoned.
Paul finished fifth overall and lifted the Masters Trophy for the highest placed over 50 outside of the top four.
